Yes, you can get a library card! Everyone is welcome here. Are you:
- An adult resident of Clayton (or located in Jefferson, Lewis, Oswego, St Lawerence counties)?
Bring ID with your current address on it. If you do not have your driver’s license, a piece of mail with your current mailing address can be presented. If neither is available a card can be issued at the Director’s discretion.
- A teen resident of Clayton (or located in Jefferson, Lewis, Oswego, St Lawerence counties) age 14-17?
Bring ID (such as a school ID) with your current address on it. If you do not have your driver’s license, a piece of mail with your current mailing address can be presented. If neither is available a card can be issued at the Director’s discretion such as in the case of an underage patron.
- A resident age 5-13?
Children must apply with a parent or guardian. The parent/guardian must present an ID with current address or a piece of mail with their current mailing address.
- A summer resident of Clayton (or located in Jefferson, Lewis, Oswego, St. Lawerence counties)?
Our summer residents are still eligible to sign up for a library card! Bring ID with your current address on it. If you do not have your driver’s license, a piece of mail with your current mailing address can be presented. If neither is available a card can be issued at the Director’s discretion.
- Not a resident of Clayton (or located in Jefferson, Lewis, Oswego, St. Lawerence counties)?
No problem! We offer our traveling library section, an option for visitors to Clayton that do not qualify for a library card but would like something to read. No library card is required to borrow from our traveling library collection. As always you may use any library materials in-house during your visit. Alternatively, you can purchase from our book sale shelf. We offer a variety of books for $1 and DVDs for $0.50.
- Just need to use our computers and/or Wi-Fi?
Everyone is welcome to use our computers, no library card required. Our Wi-Fi is open to the public, no password needed.
